Abstract
This study aims to describe the forms of abbreviations used in the comment section of the TikTok account @emilmario and to analyze their word-formation processes based on morphological studies. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation and note-taking techniques. The data source consisted of comments posted by TikTok users on the @emilmario account. The results revealed 110 abbreviation data, which were classified into five categories: 82 initialisms, 18 clippings, 5 acronyms, 3 contractions, and 3 letter symbols. Among these categories, initialisms were the most frequently used. The findings indicate that the use of abbreviations in TikTok comments reflects users' tendency to convey messages in a more concise and efficient manner in digital communication. This study is expected to contribute to morphological studies, particularly in understanding the use of abbreviations in digital communication on social media.
