ADVERBIA PENANDA ASPEK DALAM NOVEL TERUSLAH BODOH JANGAN PINTAR KARYA TERE LIYE

Abstract

Aspect-marking adverbs are one of the linguistic elements that play a role in expressing the duration, completion, experience, or beginning of an event. The presence of aspect-marking adverbs in literary work is important to study because they provide temporal information that supports the development of the plot and the conveyance of meaning. This study aims to describe the types of aspect-marking adverbs found in novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar by Tere Liye. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The data source for this study is the novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar by Tere Liye, while the research data consists of words or phrases that function as aspect-marking adverbs. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques, then analyzed through the stages of identification, classification, and description based on Kridalaksana classification of aspect-marking adverbs. The result of this study show that 630 instance of aspect-marking adverbs were found, consisting of 362 instances of the perfective aspect (telah, sudah, dan pernah), 96 instances of imperfective aspect (masih), 88 instances of the durative aspect (lagi), and 84 instances of inchoative aspect (mulai).
