Abstract

This research aims to describe image of women as individuals, the image of women as mothers, and the image of women as wives in Brian Khrisna's Sisi Tergelap Surga. This research is a literary research with a review of literary sociology, using descriptive methods. The data source in this research is the novel Sisi Tergelap Surga (2023) by Brian Khrisna. The data was collected using document study method and analyzed interactively. The results show that there are three images of women in the novel, namely women as individuals, women as wives, and women as wives. Of the three images of women, the dominant image leads to a negative image, namely women who are passive, helpless, and become mere objects. The positive side that is highlighted is the image of women as independent single mothers.
