Abstract

This article discusses hate speech in Rocky Gerung's speech on the official Inews YouTube channel: forensic linguistic studies. The aims of this research are (1) to explain the types of hate speech in Rocky Gerung's speech on the official INews YouTube channel, (2) to explain the lingual units for expressing hate speech in Rocky Gerung's speech on the INews official YouTube channel. This type of research is qualitative research, using descriptive methods. The data source used is Rocky Gerung's audio-visual recording on the YouTube online page. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself. The method used in collecting data is a listening method with the technique of selecting and sorting suspected hate speech in Rocky Gerung's speech on the Official iNews YouTube channel. There are 3 stages of data analysis techniques, namely data identification, data classification, data analysis discussion stage. The results of the research were that there were 44 statements of insulting hate speech, 4 statements of defamation, 9 statements of defamation, 8 statements of provocation, 4 statements of incitement, 13 statements of spreading fake news. The dominant type of hate speech is insults. Then, 10 utterances of word form were found, 15 phrase forms were found, 35 clause forms were found, and 22 sentence forms were found. The dominant lingual unit is the clause form.
