Makna Teks Lagu “Evakuasi” dalam Album Menari dengan Bayangan Karya Hindia

Abstract

Song texts can basically be categorized as poetic literary works if they are composed with aesthetic, brief, poetic language, full of symbols, and contain connotative meanings. One of the interesting and popular song texts at this time is entitled “Evakuasi” which is one of the song texts in the song collection (album) Menari dengan Bayangan (hereinafter abbreviated as MdB) by Hindia. The analysis will be carried out with the aim of uncovering the meaning contained in the song text “Evakuasi” based on the stages of meaning of Riffaterre's semiotic literary works. The research category is literary research based on descriptive method. The form of data is a set of language such as words, phrases, and arrays (sentences/lines) of song texts. The meaning in the song text is analyzed using Riffaterre's semiotic paradigm which is formulated as follows: (1) unsustainibility of expression, (2) heuristic and hermeneutic reading, (3) matrix, model, and variant, and (4) hypogram. The results show that in the text of the song “Evakuasi” there is (1) unsustainibility of expression which includes replacement of meaning, deviation of meaning, and creation of meaning in the form of ambiguity and nonsense, (2) heuristic and hermeneutic reading, (3) determining matrix, model, and variant, and (4) tracing actual and potential hypograms.
