Potret Struktur Kepribadian Tokoh Utama Anak dalam Novel Gejolak Dalam Awan Karya Desni Intan Suri

Abstract

The portrait of the personality structure of the main character of the child in one of Desni Intan Suri's novels titled Gejolak dalam Awan (hereinafter abbreviated as GdA) was the purpose of this study. The research problem is studied based on the paradigm of personality structure in literary psychology. The data was obtained from Desni Intan Suri's work published by Tiga Serangkai Publishers in May 2018, first printing. The data is collected by reading steps, marking language devices that indicate the problem being discussed, and after that, the data is inventoried using formats. The data is analyzed by grouping inventory results using formats. Then, the data is interpreted based on the paradigm used. The interpretation results are summarized and reported in written form. The findings include first, the personality structure of the id aspect in the novel includes the desire to eat, the desire to sleep, the desire to dress, and the desire for sex. Second, the personality structure of the ego aspect of the novel includes emphasizing laziness, anger, curiosity, wanting freedom, fear, sadness, emphasizing imagination, disrespect for teachers, self-confidence, not accepting circumstances, and forgetting time. Third, the personality structure of the superego aspect of the novel includes caring for one's fellow man, establishing social relationships, loving one's parents, not giving up, praying, and tolerance.
