Abstract

This research was written to explain the image of women in the script of the drama HAH by Putu Wijaya. This study uses literary researchers with qualitative research with descriptive analysis methods. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences that indicate the image of women in the drama script HAH by Putu Wijaya. The findings of this study include (1) the physical image of women consisting of: age, having large enough breasts, having long enough hair, and having an ideal body or body proportional. (2) the psychological image of women consisting of: sadness, deep guilt, despair, and anger. (3) the image of women as family members consisting of: mothers who fail to educate their children, daughters-in-law, and wives. (4) the image of women as members of society consisting of: women as sexual objects, women as victims of violence, women used as a place to vent men's mistakes, and double standards
