Tindak Tutur Ekspresif Masyarakat Urban dalam Webtoon Bergenre Slice Of Life

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to provide a description of: (1) forms of expressive speech acts in urban communities Webtoons genre slice of life, and (2) types of expressive speech acts of the Uban Pada community Webtoons genre slice of life. A qualitative approach was applied in this research by utilizing descriptive methods. Focusing on speech data of the main characters from the three selected digital comics, namely Ojek Story, Soekirman, and Flummy Tummy. Based on the results of data analysis, the following are the findings of this research. First, the research results show that there are four forms of speech acts, namely literal direct speech acts with 96 speech data, non-literal direct speech acts with 17 speech acts, literal indirect speech acts with 28 speech data, and indirect non-literal speech acts with 2 speech acts. The most dominant form of speech act is literal direct speech act with a percentage of (67.13%). Second, the research results show that there are six types of expressive speech acts, namely expressing thanks in 35 utterances, expressing congratulations/praising in 23 utterances, apologizing in 49 utterances, condolences in 7 utterances, criticizing 13 utterances, and expressing greetings in 16 utterances. The most dominant type of expressive speech act is the expressive speech act of apologizing with a percentage of (34.27%).
